Good service brings success

As one of the leading UK eCommerce fulfilment businesses, Huboo have grown rapidly from a standing start in 2017, enjoying a reputation for excellent service, delivery and business to business engagement. Certainly something they should be, and are deservedly proud of.

Rapidly reaching 3 warehouses with ~100 PC's and more than 140 staff from serviced offices, the growth trajectory looked positive for such a young business.

The challenge though, with any rapidly growing business is to keep the plates spinning and ensure that all parts of the organisation expand at or around the same pace, otherwise that rate of growth is only as fast as your slowest part, placing risk on the overall growth by not delivering on those all important contracts, promises and commitments.

Expanding beyond the UK

As the business continued to expand through 2021 (from 3 to 6 UK warehouses), and beyond the UK with 4 overseas facilities, staff numbers were reaching 600+ across both warehouses and additional offices.

Stress was beginning to show with the business operations struggling under the demand. The incumbent managed service providers who had grown with Huboo, were finding the scale of the job was just too big for them to keep up with.

A change of scale, approach, technology, advice and ultimately supplier, was needed to ensure Huboo could both stabilise their current operations, but also position themselves for the next round of growth, confident that their business operations and service provider could keep pace with forecast customer demand.

Integrated outsourcing

Following an initial 6-week operational evaluation, providing immediate support together with assessment of operational needs and collaboration with the incumbent supplier, it was possible to settle things down and provide a demonstrable improvement in warehouse operational efficiency.

Through careful implementation of Network / WiFi Configuration, Microsoft 365 configuration, vendor and hardware selection and the all important provision of intensive deployment support (or hyper care as it is called), the much needed confidence for growth was achieved.

This approach has been so successful, it's now the template for all new facilities, through a single managed service contract for all outsourced IT services, and demonstrates that integrated digital technology is a proven enabler for any business.
